19 Minute Yoga: Warrior Flow

In the beginning of this class, I mention my experience sitting at a conference table actively trying to take up less space. Like I didn’t deserve to be there (I did).

When I started writing this class and thinking about the main pose, Warrior II, I thought about the celebration of strength and also the opposite. I reflected on times I felt like I needed to be less.

The times I felt like I needed to be less (insert anything: imposing, intelligent, successful) and how yoga was basically giving me permission to be more. To take up space.

Yoga is about creating space.

The body needs space.

So I decided to use this class to cultivate a sense of agency. The mantra in this class is, “This is my space.”

Say it out loud often. Because this is your space.
